Response to Horatio

I’m not sure if I follow the thread of your point, but I’m guessing that you didn’t like what I wrote.

My point was simply this:

It’s ok to use comedy to speak truth to power. That’s what satire is for. But using humor to humiliate people who are already disadvantaged or hurting is fucked up. Like Louis CK’s recent home about Parkland School survivors, or Kevin Hart’s faggot jokes.

And especially when jokes can lead to actual violence against individuals.

In this piramid, jokes are near the bottom. They help build oppression. It leads to bad things.
