In the face of ignorant attacks from self-serving politicians, loving parents support and defend their trans children.

As part of my trans advocacy work, I run three support groups — one for trans women, one for cisgender spouses/partners of folks in transition, and one for parents of trans kids.

I asked moms to share their letters to their trans kids.

To my baby, my firstborn, my best friend — you are the reason I’m a mom. I wasn’t expecting you, but I also never expected to be able to love someone as much as I love you.
