I loved this piece.

Ironically, I became aware of having a distinct writing voice not by searching for it, but by expressing it instinctively — and having people remark on it. It hadn’t even occurred to me that there was something idiosyncratic in my style. It’s funny how some things can be hidden in plain sight!

PS: I used to binge Sam Kinison as well. He was one of the greats.
