I disagree with pretty much all of this article.

Transsexual does not mean what you say it means. Transsexual commonly has referred to a transgender person who has “completed” their medical transition as laid out in WPATH as per Dr. Harry Benjamin’s dictates. All of this is stilted and obsolete.

Transgender does not mean what you say it means. Most Non-Binary people do not identify themselves as trans*. The term for Enbies, genderfluid, Genderqueer, Agender & Graygender folk is GNC (Gender Non-Conforming).

Trans advocates such as myself have left the trans umbrella open for the sake of inclusiveness and solidarity, but most GNC folk have said “thanks but no thanks.”

Your statistics are wonky too. Transgender folk (Trans men and Trans women —Not Enbies etc.) make up 0.6% of the population.

The word Transsexual has fallen into disuse, because it connotes privilege (some of us can afford surgeries or have insurance — some of us can’t), and because it leads trans folk to the wrong think that surgery is socially required of them to be accepted. Surgery is an extremely personal choice, and should only be undertaken to alleviate dysphoria.

In summary, your premises are faulty, your data is inaccurate, and thus the conclusions you arrive at are way off the mark.
