First off, I'm not white. I'm a green-card-holding immigrant Latina.

Secondly, it's hard to imagine someone so ignorant as to not understand that trans folk have been imprisoned, thrown into mental institutions or even killed (in some cases burned at the stake) for being trans. That trans teens are often thrown out of their house for being trans. That trans women are constantly randomly arrested. That we're denied jobs & housing.

And I don't advocate for white trans women. I advocate for trans women of all races — most importantly Black trans women, who are murdered in hate crimes at an alarming rate.
